We Offer a Real Community Experience

Everybody wants to share their experiences with an appreciative audience of friends. A particularly good cross-country ski day, a mountain bike run, a grueling workout session, drinks at the end of the day – all of these and more provide the opportunity to connect, share stories, and discover.

Our goal is to create and nurture friendships. The design philosophy emphasizes the development of community feeling and friends. We start with a relaxed physical layout that facilitates easy interaction with other guests. Add a variety of group activities that foster stewardship of the Metolian and the surrounding environs and you have community.

Our expectation and focus is that over time this community will grow. With similar interests and attitudes towards the outdoors, recreation, and sustainability, Metolian members will return time and again as they develop meaningful relationships with other members and the surrounding wilderness.
